Two years ago the North Bournemouth Forum, with the unanimous approval of the nine councillors and chairman Mike Goodhew, submitted an excellent paper with modest and cheap methods to make Poole Lane a lot safer than it is now including a 20mph speed limit along its length as five schools access onto the lane.

Since then nothing has been spent to avoid an accident waiting to happen.

When we are spending £4million to revamp the revamped Pier Approach and spending thousands tinkering about with cycle routes and through access between the three boroughs south of the Wessex way, I think that it is about time some of that money was spent in north Bournemouth, especially when Tesco is opening shortly bringing in more traffic to the village.

Also, Kinson Road needs to be a 20mph road throughout its length, as it has similar problems as Poole Lane.
