We have attended three concerts at the Regent Centre in the space of one week.
We would have enjoyed them more but for the high sound volume. In fact last night we left at the interval for that very reason – some singers screamed, not sang!
We recently saw the excellent John Wilson Orchestra at the Lighthouse, Poole – sound perfect. I realise that the size of the halls are vastly different, but surely the Regent’s electrical men should take this into account.
When there are, for instance, Gilbert and Sullivan shows at the Regent, the sound is excellent.
Perhaps the management of the Regent could look into this problem, which is shared with many of our friends.
