CAN I add my thoughts regarding the need for people to be visible now we have the dark nights.
My husband and I were travelling along Poole Road towards Upton Country Park on Friday night when a lady was trying to cross the road.
She was pretty much dressed head to toe in black and was stood in the middle of moving traffic waiting for a gap.
Luckily we were not going fast, however it looked like she was going to walk so my husband had to brake sharply. She was only visible in the last seconds as we approached. She had obviously just got off the bus and could have walked a few feet to the brightly lit bollards and crossing there where she could have waited safely in the traffic.
Not a major incident, but if it had been someone going fast it could have been very nasty.
