Memories of steamship
SEEING the picture of the steamship at Bournemouth pier, I went on that trip from the Isle of Wight to Bournemouth on the Solent. I was 16-years-old (1953), with my Granny.
When we went home we passed HMS Vanguard and had to wait when it sailed out of Portsmouth harbour, and we got caught in the wash.
