WHEN my neighbours and I have dry sunny spells we sit on our balconies whilst cars queue for the Sandbanks to Swanage ferry in front of the apartments.

What’s annoying is the number of vehicle drivers who will leave their engines running whilst waiting 20 minutes or more for the ferry to arrive.

It’s nothing to do with keeping the air conditioning on, as most have their windows open.

We are living in an age when reducing air pollution appears to be a priority.

A great number of car drivers seem oblivious of this and also must have money to burn.

Could this be the same people who complain about pollution and vote for the Green Party?

For the sake of our future health and the environment it should become an offence to leave engines running when stationary for long periods.
