THROUGH your column I would like to thank the community for all their support over the last nine years when it has been my privilege to represent the Membership of Christchurch and Dorset as a volunteer Public Governor on the Council of Governors at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
I have tried very hard over the years to represent the views of the Membership to the Trust Board.
I do believe that we are extremely fortunate to have two hospitals within our community delivering such high standards of care and who continue to strive for excellence at every level. The Council of Governors, which has been such a big part of my life for so long, are there to listen to patients and the public and give constructive challenges to the Non Executive Directors.
I do hope that the local community will continue to support their Governors on the Council of Governors. It has been an honour to be part of such a special organisation and I wish the Council and the Trust all the very best as they move forward.
