I have absolutely no sympathy for the plight of those British jihadists who are bleating that they are now in fear for their lives either from coalition air strikes or IS terrorists and cannot return to the UK as they would face jail here.

The jihadists chose to desert their families and this country to join our enemies – and we should not waste a single penny trying to extract them from their predicament.

All British jihadists identified as fighting in the Middle East should have their passports cancelled to prevent them being able to return to Britain. Frankly the best thing for this country and the world as a whole would be for all our home-grown jihadists to pay the ultimate price for their treachery.
