I BELIEVE the time has come for Dorset to leave the United Kingdom.

We have our own oil at Wytch Farm, will shortly have wind turbines for our electricity and a flourishing tourist trade.

We no longer need Westminster making decisions for us.

Indeed we could have our own flag perhaps, in red with the emblem of the Dorset knob at its centre.

Our leaders and councillors, can be installed in the town hall as presidents as they have done a great job so far and moved on from the previous councillors befuddled thinking, e.g the surf reef, Imax, closing pools in the town centre, etc.

So I ask the people of Bournemouth to write to your MP and Mr Cameron urging our decision and let’s move forward together.

JOHN ALISON,

Burnham Drive,
