DRIVING down past Poole Quay at 6pm, we were passed closely while in heavy traffic by five large and shiny motorcycles in what appeared to be a convoy, weaving between and undertaking traffic.
None of the riders wore hi-vis jackets and all were wearing denim jeans and trainers.
After the tragedies of a few days ago, and mindful that we car drivers are constantly being told to “Think bike”, does their cavalier attitude to other drivers, road safety and their own health and safety indicate that they collectively believe that it is more “cool” to be “like the others” than to drive sensibly, and to be visible and safe on the roads?
