I IMAGINE that this subject has been discussed many times before but feel that I need to add my two cents worth.
I am writing with reference to cycle lanes. Our local authority has, at great expense to the tax payer and great inconvenience to pedestrians, installed many miles of cycle lanes here in Dorset.
Why do the majority of cyclists refuse to use them?
Why do they feel that it’s a better idea to cause chaos on the roads instead? I cannot believe how ignorant and selfish some of these cyclists are.
Can the local authority not pass a by-law making it illegal to ride on the road if a cycle lane is available? Keep fining them and eventually impound and crush the cycles of persistent offenders. I’m sure that will stop them.
