THE EU has become notorious for wasting taxpayers’ money and seeking to influence countries beyond its immediate political control.

One of the latest examples is 2.5 billion Euros to prop up South American countries including Argentina, better known for its dispute with Britain concerning the Falklands.

This has been done in an attempt to improve what is termed as social cohesion as well as helping foster inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

In consultation with Latin American partner countries, areas identified for support are said to include improved governance, accountability and social equity, as well as helping foster inclusive and sustainable economic growth. The EU seems unable to sort out its own governance for spending or for the care of its own population.
