THE fact that Mr Cole (Letters, April 18) compares the visual threat of the Navitus industrial development with electricity pylons shows how inadequate the ‘consultation’ process has been.
The very tallest pylons in the UK are barely a quarter of the height of the Navitus industrial monsters.
They usually appear in small numbers, partially obscured by trees.
Not so the Navitus mega turbines, which will be in a huge cluster of nearly 200, clearly visible from our shoreline.
And unlike wind turbines, they don’t emit strident levels of noise or macerate migrating birds.
We urge all local people to visit our website saveourdorset seaside.co.uk to learn the true facts and see how you can help to stop this destruction of the UK’s seaside heritage.
