YOUR correspondent Christine Peters wrote a lovely letter about a particular annoying problem most of us have experienced sometime or other in letter (Echo, 14th April, ‘Cold calls are a nuisance’).
Having mentioned she is a pensioner residing in a sheltered home I would have expected those who commented online to have at least taken that into account when replying, sadly two idiots made rude and defamatory remarks about her letter, which I found to be immensely annoying, because some people could lose their confidence to have their say publically in the Echo.
But mercifully, almost all the other comments were considered and related to her letter in a courteous manner befitting of the problem.
The upturn was when Christine took to the internet and surprised me by giving them short thrift for being stupid in one of the most elegant of ways the younger generation could benefit from.
Keep writing Christine, I’m sure most of us agreed with your letter and comment.
