WHILST us non-smokers are grateful for the “no smoking” in the work place or indoor premises, I am sure that I am not alone in feeling polluted when confronted by waiters, hospital staff, taxi drivers and shop assistants that have “just popped outside” for a fag and come back reeking of cigarette smoke.

It’s not classed as “passive smoking”, but it is not only obnoxious but creates a lackadaisical impression of the business.

It is particularly disturbing when driving past hospital premises and government offices seeing a group huddled together in a corner puffing desperately in all weathers.
