As a town Poole relies heavily on visitors and the holiday trade.

Could I point this out to the supposedly knowledgeable councillors who have approved a travellers camp at the end of the main arterial road out and in to the town.

The first and last impressions of visitors will be of a travellers transit camp (after the wonderfully landscaped roundabout).

Not a good impression, surely – or do they intend to screen it at more cost?

Surely a less public space would be far more suitable? Why do they think that the tidy up costs will go away if they approve a site.

I would suggest that it will be up to us, the council tax payers, to fund cleaning up the transit site otherwise it will be refused to be used?
