WHAT'S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
"Never take no for an answer - and I don't. I think everything's surmountable if you put your mind to it."
WHAT'S YOUR INDULGENCE?
"It would be crumpets. I'm off them at the moment as I'm watching my waistline. But it would be crumpets with lots of butter, and if I was in a savoury mood they'd have beans, crispy bacon and cheese on top, and if I was in a sweet mood it would be with honey. I'm a big fan of honey."
HOW ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY ARE YOU?
"I'm fairly eco-friendly, though I do travel so air miles are an issue. But we recycle absolutely everything and compost, we've got chickens and a hybrid car. I've got low-wattage bulbs in most places, and I'm planning an outdoor space that will be very eco-friendly. It's going to be fun, I'm getting greener all the time."
WHO IS THE MOST FAMOUS PERSON WHOSE NUMBER YOU HAVE IN YOUR MOBILE?
"It would probably be Rory Bremner I should think. He's my son's godfather. Jo Brand's in there, as is Melinda Messenger, who worked with me on The Sweet Life cookbook.
WHAT ITEM COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT?
"My centrifugal juicer. They're brilliant. I have to have my juice in a morning otherwise I don't think I'm going to live."
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
"It would probably be my stomach. I've had my nose broken so many times there's no point in getting it fixed. My stomach is trying to go but I'm being very resistant."
