Enjoying a laugh with the pinball wizards
Paul Merton's Impro Chums, Pavilion Bournemouth
Accompanied by Lee Simpson, Suki Webster and Mike McShane and all bouncing off each other like a human pinball machine, the four comedians managed to improvise the whole night using only suggestions from the audience.
This involved several different scenarios, but all unscripted, the first being a shout of freeze' as the performers would take it in turn to swap places while ad-libbing.
After this, Suki Webster left the stage while the audience shouted out random topics (Antarctica, the internet, hedgehogs and Madonna), which she had to guess on her return.
With the help of her chums, Suki hilariously managed to get there after much trial and error.
The show moved on at such a furious pace, with its twisting tangents, that I was pleasantly confused when it finished. Razor sharp and very funny.
