Thirst impressions for summer variety

| LOWEN BEHOLD: Impressionist Phil Lowen is headlining |
THE popularity of TV talent shows like Britain's Got Talent prove the nation is now craving a return to the golden days of variety entertainment.
And rising to this challenge is producer/director Colin Matthews who is presenting a new summer variety show at Bournemouth's Pier Theatre aimed at family audiences.
For over 40 years many dignitaries of the stage have been known to tread the boards at the Pier - many of them legendary household names.
Now performers in this year's summer show The Magic of Laughter hope to go on to emulate their success... but you can catch them in Bournemouth first!
Colin Matthews is not only on a mission to prove the world still need variety. He is searching out fresh new talent, gifted showmen and women to present the most excellent musical and comedic material, both old and new.
The Magic of Laughter opens for a 20-week season tomorrow night with performances every Tuesday and Wednesday until September 24.
The show is packed with fun and frolics and audiences are invited to sit back and enjoy the comedic moments, magical highlights, fancy footwork and memorable musical numbers.
The cast is headlined by
comedy impressionist Phil Lowen, a zany, energetic, very visual comedian.
The vivacious Georgia Lee has appeared in numerous summer shows, attracting praise for her choreographic skills and musical interpretation.
Oliver Tabor is an award winning magician and illusionist who candidly mixes traditional magic with the art of illusion in an enthralling display of showmanship.
Vocalist Grant Martins displays genuine charisma and crooning ability joined by the powerful voice of Natasha Barnes.
Brother and sister Lauren and Joseph Medway certainly have talent! Lauren recently impressed Simon Cowell performing on Britain's Got Talent when he told her she would be a huge star.
Dance troupe Spellbound will also be ensuring that variety really is the spice of life!
