Treasure Hunt
Dorset Food Week

Welcome Events Treasure Hunt

Treasure Hunting Around Dorset

After taking on the role of local products co-ordination and support in the county earlier this year, Chalk and Cheese are really pleased to announce the launch of their first Treasure Hunt competition during Dorset Food Week.

Dorset Food Week is a great opportunity for you to find out more about the fabulous local food and drink made in the county, meet the producers and explore the countryside where everything is grown and reared. Dorset has some of the finest local products and this is your chance to sample, discover and celebrate a wealth of them.

The Treasure Hunt will give you even more reason to visit the Dorset Food Week events – and you’re bound to find something that’ll tempt your taste buds. Whether it’s sausage making and tasting, a Dorset breakfast, the Pumpkin Olympics, a farm tour from cow to cone, a film and food night or just simple food, booze and fun. With over 160 events to choose from there is bound to be more than one you can’t resist – particularly the chocolate tasting in Dorchester but keep it under your hat, wouldn’t want too many others there!

HOW TO ENTER

To enter the Treasure Hunt all you need to do is get your hands on a Treasure Hunt passport from one of the Dorset Food Week events or download a copy by clicking here or from www.chalkandcheese.org , then hunt down five Chalk and Cheese Treasure Hunt Passwords. You’ll find one at each different venue, some cunningly hidden others a little easier to spot, enter the passwords and venues on your passport along with your contact details, send it to us at Chalk and Cheese and you’re in with a chance of winning.

Brights Restaurant The Treasure Hunt winner will receive a fabulous, mouth watering Weekend of Dorset Local Food including a days cookery course at the Olive Tree Cookery School just outside Corfe Castle, a delicious Sunday lunch for two at Bright’s in Shaftsbury, recently voted Best Restaurant in the Dorset Food and Drink Awards, topped off with a signed copy of Leslie Waters cookery book to inspire you to carry on fooding. All prizes are kindly donated by the businesses involved, so if you fancy spending a day with Giuseppe Sinaguglia learning the Sicilian recipes of his Grandmother, get mad about mushrooms or prepare an Italian style Christmas then this could be for you. Giuseppe Sinaguglia from the Olive Tree Cookery School Then after all that hard work sit back for a lazy afternoon and let Michael of Bright’s prepare the best Dorset Sunday lunch for you while flicking through Leslie Waters book for further inspiration!

If you’d like any more information on the Treasure Hunt or anything else Chalk and Cheese are up to, either give them a call on 01305 215227 or have a look on their website at www.chalkandcheese.org .
