ER – Season 11 (Warner Home Video) ****
ER fans, you'd better have many, many long hours to fill.
This set may seem expensive but just look what you get from an American series - 23 episodes of top-notch medical drama.
Season 11 is when we said goodbye to Carter, Ray Liotta guest-starred as a dying ex-con, Luka and Sam were in love, Weaver was reunited with her disapproving birth mother, and the end-of-series cliff-hanger was Alex running away to find his jailbird dad.
Add to that all the usual fast-paced fare of births, deaths, blood and guts, plus some additional scenes, and you really get your money's worth.
The cast is, as ever, consistently superb - and unreasonably good-looking.
