Lions For Lambs (15) MGM ***
THIS interesting drama is really a three-part story.
On the one hand Robert Redford tries to reach out to privileged but bored student Andrew Garfield.
In Washington Tom Cruise, as senator Jasper Irving, and Meryl Streep, as weary journalist Janine Roth, battle it out about the wrongs and rights of the war on terror.
And far away on a snowy mountain-top in Afghanistan, two American soldiers fight for their lives.
And as the three parts wind together, so many questions hang in the air. I liked Lions For Lambs a lot, but in the end I don't think it raises as many questions as it wants to. I wanted more answers.
