Razor Eaters (18) ILC Entertainment ***
THIS is an interesting little Australian thriller, with as much violence as its title suggests.
Based on the real-life Hedge-Burners gang, who captured their destructive exploits on camera, the titular "domestic terrorists" here also record their rampage.
It's a diverting concept, as we switch from the moody direction of troubled cop Paul Moder's scenes to the grainy video sequences of the gang at "work".
Gradually, we discover there's more to the Razor Eaters than mindless violence, and that's true of the film, too, which is a solid bit of work with some very good performances.
Not a classic, but a very good solo debut from writer-director Shannon Young.
