WIMBORNE Colts ended a five-year hoodoo when they thumped Chippenham 50-5 to move within touching distance of the Dorset & Wilts Division One title.

The All Blacks under-18s had failed to win in Wiltshire in five attempts, but were soon up and running when Jack Mason crashed over after just five minutes.

And although the home side hit back with a try of their own, the Dorset side were 24-5 in front at half-time.

They continued their momentum after the restart, racking up a further 26 points inside 10 minutes, with captain Jack Fossey the last to dive over.

The young All Blacks lead the Division One standings by 10 points after winning all 10 of their matches.

The Leigh Park outfit’s round Dorset & Wilts cup tie at Melksham on Sunday was conceded by the hosts.

The championship contenders have six league matches remaining.
