SWIMMERS who miss out on the British Heart Foundation’s annual Pier-to-Pier swim at Bournemouth in June – or who want something a bit more competitive – could head for Studland Bay instead.
East Dorset Open Water SC are organising the first Seahorse Swim on Sunday June 27 using a triangular 3.8km course in Studland Bay.
It will be held in conjunction with the National Trust and Studland Seahorse Protection with an entry fee of £20.
Swim co-ordinator Ali Budynkiewicz said: “We are hoping to attract 100 swimmers aged 16 and over.
“The Pier to Pier is on the same day but that will be oversubscribed and the feedback suggests most club swimmers would rather do our swim.”
