OLLIE Crowe, Sam Chamberlain and Gabriel Knight were the stars of the show as Swim Bournemouth reeled in the medals at the Yeovil Level 3 Christmas Meet at Millfield.

Nine-year-old Crowe topped the podium on all four competitive strokes to head the club’s tally with six golds.

His wins came in the 9yrs 100m and 200m breaststroke, 50m and 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 200m freestyle.

Chamberlain won seven medals in the 10yrs age group – gold in the 50m and 200m freestyle, silver in the 50m breaststroke and 100m butterfly and bronze in the 50m butterfly and 100m and 200m breaststroke.

Knight collected five medals in the 12yrs category – silver in the 50m fly and 100m individual medley (IM) and bronze in the 50m and 100m backstroke and 100m butterfly.

Edward Leader won a medal over 50m on all four strokes – gold in the backstroke, silver in the freestyle and butterfly and bronze in the breaststroke.

Harry West also made four podium visits, winning gold in the 9yrs 50m freestyle and 100m IM and silver in the 50m backstroke and fly.

Tobey Lacey won a medal of each colour – gold in the 9yrs 50m backstroke, silver in the 200m freestyle and bronze in the 50m breaststroke.

Four other swimmers also won three medals – Lilianna Scoulding-Jones with silver in the 12yrs 100m fly and 200m freestyle and bronze in the 100m free, Grace Knight with silver in the 9yrs 100m backstroke and 200m breaststroke and bronze in the 50m breast, Charlotte Piper with silver in the 9yrs 100m freestyle and breaststroke and bronze in the 50m freestyle and Ellie Crain with gold in the 200m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m breaststroke and 100m IM.

Also striking gold were Max Lanning with first place in the 13-14yrs 200m butterfly and third in the 100m fly, Lola Beale with victory in the 9yrs 50m fly and silver in the 100m and Jacka Ware, who won the 10yrs 100m IM.

Other double medallists were Kaja Frackiewicz with silver in the 10yrs 50m freestyle and 100m IM, Gabriel Petrov with bronze in the 11yrs 200m freestyle and 100m IM and Elizabeth Dawson with bronze in the 10yrs 50m backstroke and 100m IM.

Others visiting the podium included Anya Holderness with silver in the 15-16yrs 100m backstroke, Grace Crowe with silver in the 11yrs 100m IM, Holly Webster with bronze in the 13-14yrs 400m freestyle and Toby Porter with bronze in the 11yrs 100m fly.
