The results revealed no fewer than 33 competition best times (CBTs) had fallen during the event.

Five of these were set by Cutbush, who rewrote the record books for the 13yrs 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle and 200m individual medley.

He was also named top male swimmer with team-mate Fern Duesbury winning the equivalent girls’ award.

Ben’s brother Thomas Cutbush also set a CBT in the 11yrs 100m freestyle.

Poole team-mates Lara Johnston-Trow (10yrs 100 and 200m freestyle), Sheila Monera (10yrs 50m freestyle), Isabelle Leigh (13yrs 100m backstroke) and Finlay Webb (200m breaststroke) joined the record-fest, helping Poole to win the top club award with Swim Bournemouth second and Seagulls third.
