CRAIG Boyce has admitted he misses racing but has confirmed he has no intention of making a comeback.
The 40-year-old Aussie, who is Pirates' record points scorer, bowed out at the end of last year after two decades of racing speedway at the top level.
Multi-talented Boyce now tunes engines, including for Poole Castle Cover riders Davey Watt and Karol Zabik.
But fans will be able to witness his on-track prowess one last time during the Craig Boyce Farewell meeting at Poole on Wednesday, June 25.
Boyce, who will probably take part in some special guest match races, said: "It's been a funny few months going into retirement after 20 great seasons of racing.
"I do the engines now and I'm enjoying myself, but when the racing is on, I'm always thinking I wouldn't mind doing that again'.
"But old age is setting in, so I think it will be my last four laps round Poole.
"I think we'll run a four-team tournament.
"I spoke to Antonio Lindback and he said he will come and do it.
"I can't say too much at the moment because we are still organising the event, but it will be a fun day.
"I'll be racing myself for the last time and I'm really looking forward to it."
Boyce, who first rode for Poole in 1988, added: "We've got a lot of other things planned, Malcolm Simmons and Erik Gundersen are coming as special guests alongside the likes of Martin Yeates, Neil Street, Pete Smith and John Davis, and I hope everyone will enjoy it.
"Tim Templeton is looking after the sponsorship side, so if anyone wants to get involved in that respect they should contact him."
