EX-FORMULA One star Mark Webber will be among the interested observers for Pirates’ trip to Somerset tonight.
Webber, a former winner of the World Endurance Championship, and a television crew are due to shadow Rebels skipper Jason Doyle for BT Sport.
Somerset promoter Debbie Hancock told the club website: “When BT Sport asked if they could do some filming and promotional work for the British Grand Prix, I had no hesitation in agreeing.
“And when they told me Mark Webber would be among the crew, I confess I was a little bit overcome with emotion.
“Mark is a tremendous ambassador for motor racing so to have him along will be fabulous.
“As I understand it, Mark will not be here for the whole meeting but we are hoping he will have a chat with us ahead of the match.”
Pirates will be without Nicolai Klindt due to racing commitments in Denmark so rider replacement will operate, while Brady Kurtz has been declared fit to take his place in the team.
