PIRATES fans can rub shoulders with four-time world champion Barry Briggs at the club's store in the Dolphin Shopping Centre on Monday.

New Zealander Briggs, who claimed world crowns in 1957, 1958, 1964 and 1966, will be signing copies of his new book 'Wembley and Beyond'.

Speedway fans young and old can meet the Swindon legend between 12noon and 3pm, as well as browsing the Pirates merchandise on offer.

The pop-up store is open daily between 10am and 4.30pm in the build up to Christmas, with late-night opening until 8pm on Thursdays.

It promises to be a busy couple of days in the shop, with two new Pirates signings meeting fans on Tuesday between 12noon and 2.30pm.

Poole chief Matt Ford is due to reveal the names of the mystery riders on Monday at the club's sponsors dinner.

That will increase to four the number of confirmed racers for next year's SGB Premiership campaign.

Deals for number one Brady Kurtz and fellow Aussie Josh Grajczonek have already been rubber-stamped.
