TEAM boss Alun Rossiter is adamant Swindon have no psychological edge over Pirates despite recent results between the teams.

Rossiter's Robins thumped Poole home and away in July and also triumphed narrowly in Dorset in May.

The rivals shared a 45-45 draw at Blunsdon in April, meaning SGB Premiership table-toppers Swindon have not been beaten by their play-off opponents once this season.

However, Rossiter reckons previous fixtures will not influence the outcome of the semi-final clash.

He told the Daily Echo: "Those results will have no bearing as the play-offs are a different kettle of fish.

"Every team has nothing to lose and everything to gain so I don't take anything from any other meeting.

"You might see riders who have been struggling all of a sudden come to the forefront."

The sides are due to lock horns in tomorrow's first leg, with a bumper crowd expected at Wimborne Road (7.30pm).

Rossiter added: "Hopefully, financially it will be good for both clubs.

"They are our biggest rivals. It would be nice to see a load of people go to Poole for the first leg and come up to Swindon from Poole for the second leg."

Wolverhampton are set to take on Belle Vue in the other semi-final.
