MATT Ford delivered a withering assessment of Krzysztof Kasprzak's recent spell at Pirates, revealing: "I don't believe Krzys is good for team morale."

In his programme notes ahead of the home win over Wolverhampton earlier this month, promoter Ford reflected on Kasprzak's underwhelming efforts in the skull and crossbones this season.

The former world number two was axed in July having failed to hit top form during a campaign in which he also spent more than two months out with a broken collarbone.

Having joined new club Rye House as a reserve, Kasprzak scorched to 11 paid 12 as the Rockets thrashed Pirates at home. And he is set to face Poole again at Hoddesdon tonight.

Ford wrote: "His lack of effort while riding for the club and the galling way he came back to remain unbeaten (for Rye House at Poole) was hard to stomach.

"This may be scything but I don't believe Krzys is good for team morale. He has had an impact on the club this year, it has not helped and he did not bring anything to the team.

"I don't believe it was the wrong decision to take him out and bring in Edward (Kennett). In fact, listening to many of you guys reading this, I should have done it earlier."
