PIRATES racer Richie Worrall admits he is no supporter of the rider replacement rule.

The 25-year-old was signed as cover for the injured Brady Kurtz after Poole chief Matt Ford deemed it a better option than Kurtz's team-mates covering his rides.

And Belle Vue asset Worrall told the Daily Echo: "To be honest, I don't agree with the rider replacement rule – you should have seven guys in a team.

"It's not good for the fans and there is someone sitting on a sofa who could be racing that night.

"Credit to Matt for making the move he did, it is going to help me out massively."
