BOSS Matt Ford has warned Pirates to take no prisoners when they lock horns with Leicester tonight (7.30pm).

Poole are set to end a two-week break from home shale by going wheel to wheel with the SGB Premiership’s basement side and Ford wants his troops at full throttle.

The Wimborne Road chief saw Pirates surrender a four-point lead at Leicester earlier this month, conceding a closing 5-1 to draw 45-45. And Ford says there are further examples of Poole failing to put their opposition to the sword in 2017.

Speaking to the club website, he said: “There is pressure on all the lads as all too often this season we have not finished teams off when we have been in a position to do so, take our trip to Leicester, for example.

“I believe we need to find a more ruthless streak in our performances.”

Poole are a point behind third-place King’s Lynn, who clash with second-place Belle Vue in Norfolk tonight.

A home fixture against the Aces awaits Pirates on Monday, with the BT Sport cameras due to be in attendance.
