PROMOTER Matt Ford admitted his options had been limited over a guest for tonight's meeting against Leicester.

With Nicolai Klindt still sidelined by a knee injury, Scunthorpe veteran Carl Wilkinson is due to cover at reserve.

New SGB Premiership averages are not due to take effect until Friday so Klindt's 5.42 rating – which is set to increase by more than a point – still applies.

Ford told the Daily Echo: "There were limited options to replace Nic on his current average.

"But when he gains his new average, it will jump closer to seven points and it will be so different."

Ford added: "It's a busy few days with two very important home fixtures, starting with Leicester and then Belle Vue.

"Of course, we go into the first meeting as favourites and the team need to respond and pick up another three points.

"No meeting in this league is easy. The teams at the bottom of the league are very capable of winning."

Leicester will be led by skipper Danny King, who is carrying an injury, while Jason Garrity is set to race despite withdrawing from his final ride in the British final.
