PIRATES owner Matt Ford reckons Rye House will be boosted by the signing of ex-Wolverhampton rider Ricky Wells.

American Wells replaced former Poole captain Davey Watt, who had struggled to find top form since joining the Rockets.

The teams clash at Hoddesdon tomorrow (7pm) and Ford told the Daily Echo: "I think the team change will make Rye House substantially stronger.

"Also, in Edward Kennett they have a track expert. He's quite unbelievable round there so it is going to be a tough place to go.

"We will need to fire on all cylinders to come away with anything."

Poole will track Swindon and Peterborough racer Bradley Wilson-Dean in the absence of Lewis Kerr due to Scunthorpe commitments.

Rye House: Chris Harris, Edward Kennett, Scott Nicholls, Stuart Robson, Ricky Wells, Rob Branford, Ellis Perks.

Pirates: Hans Andersen, Jack Holder, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Brady Kurtz, Bradley Wilson-Dean (guest), Nicolai Klindt, James Shanes.
