KACPER Gomolski pulled up when leading a race against Pirates due to mistaking a light from a camera for a red warning light.
The Leicester flier reduced speed during his team's 56-34 loss to Poole seven days ago, costing the home side precious points.
Lions promoter Damien Bates told the Leicester Mercury: "Kacper was in the lead when he thought he saw a red light.
"He was not mistaken but it was a red camera light being emitted by someone taking photographs on the terracing and not the red warning light the referee would turn on to alert the riders to stop.
"Fans need to think about their actions because indirectly, it could lead to an accident."
