NICOLAI Klindt feels his two seasons at Leicester will not boost his bid to hit the big numbers at Beaumont Park tomorrow.
The Danish ace, part of the Lions set-up in 2014 and 2016, will aim to find top form when Pirates open their SGB Premiership campaign (7.30pm).
Klindt revealed how changes to the Leicester track – which he experienced when scoring five paid six in a guest outing against Swindon last weekend – meant he had been forced to go back to the drawing board.
He told the Daily Echo: "They have changed the first and second bend and now it's a bit like a small, Rye House kind of thing.
"I ended up not using the same set-up as I would have last year so you definitely need to ride the track differently. Also, the start was a lot slicker.
"It will help that I went there last Saturday because I have a feel for it but the past two seasons I did there won't really help.
"You used to be able to use a wide line and ride flat out but now you have to lock the bike up a lot more and make sure you hit the inside out of corners."
