HANS Andersen bagged an 18-point haul alongside Nicolai Klindt as the Pirates duo warmed up for the new season at Peter Karlsson's farewell meeting.
The Danish fliers, managed for the day by former Swindon boss Jan Staechmann, finished fourth out of seven partnerships in the pairs competition at Wolverhampton.
Off-season recruit Klindt totalled 11 points from his six rides.
The meeting was won by Wolves legends, a team which included Karlsson, Freddie Lindgren, Kyle Howarth and Max Clegg.
Meanwhile, Pirates new boy Jack Holder scored five paid six for Peterborough in their 57-33 challenge defeat to Coventry.
Riding at number one, Holder did not manage a race win at the East of England Showground as his opposite number Danny King stormed to a 12-point paid maximum.
