EDWARD Kennett and Steve Worrall have been drafted into the line-up for Friday’s Blue Riband at Wimborne Road.
The British duo will race in the meeting following the withdrawals of Hans Andersen and Kenneth Bjerre due to injury.
Pirates legend Bjarne Pedersen is fit to ride having missed last month’s play-off defeat at Wolves due to a knee problem.
Poole promoter Matt Ford told the club website: “It is disappointing Hans and Kenneth have had to pull out.
“Hans attempted a comeback recently but recognised the extent of his injury was worse than he had thought.
“He has decided to finish for the winter to avoid the risk of further damage.”
Alongside established Elite League names and members of Pirates’ 2016 team, a number of young riders new to the British scene are set to strut their stuff – Adrian Cyfer, Marcin Nowak and Frederik Jakobsen.
In-form Poole asset Kyle Newman is also included in the field.
