GRAND Prix star Antonio Lindback is desperate to add to his cabinet of British silverware and says he will give his all to help Pirates retain their crown.

Having replaced the injured Hans Andersen, Lindback is tonight due to make his first appearance for Poole in a decade when he lines up against Wolverhampton in the Elite League play-off semi-final first leg at Wimborne Road (7.30pm).

Lindback spent four seasons at Pirates between 2003 and 2006, winning two Elite League titles, the British League Cup, the Knockout Cup and the Craven Shield.

And although he may only have returned to Britain for an end-of-season cameo, the Rio Rocket is hungry to help the Dorset club win an unprecedented fourth straight Elite League crown.

Lindback told the Daily Echo: "It's nice to have done so many good things with one club.

"All titles you win are very important and I have good memories of winning the league title twice, they are memories which are very close to my heart.

"I hope I can help the club to win the league this year and I will try and do my best."

Lindback believes no practice runs on the Wimborne Road circuit will be necessary despite his lengthy absence from the Pirates septet.

He added: "I will go straight in. I know the track pretty well. If I come in and have a look at the track beforehand then I don't think there will be any problem."
