PROMOTER Matt Ford insists Pirates must take their displays to another level if they are to bank a fourth straight Elite League title.

Reigning champions Poole host seventh-placed King's Lynn tonight before making the return trip to Norfolk tomorrow.

The Wimborne Road side then face nine fixtures to round off the regular season, six of which are outside Dorset.

Ford said: "With so few home fixtures remaining and a very tough away programme to fulfil, we need to claim three home points and try to pick up something on Thursday.

"It is a very tough league this year and Belle Vue certainly signalled their intent on Monday with that massive win at Wolves.

"We want that fourth straight title but to get it will certainly require us to continually raise our game."

Pirates have a full septet for the visit of King's Lynn with Bjarne Pedersen back in the fold after missing last week's meetings due to the death of his mother.

The experienced Dane will be joined at reserve by Kyle Newman, who has dropped down following the release of the latest averages.

The Stars will be without Grand Prix charger Niels-Kristian Iversen due to his involvement in a fixture in Denmark, while Simon Lambert is injured. Chris Harris and Kyle Howarth have been booked to guest.

Ford was speaking to the club website.
