GREAT Britain boss Alun Rossiter insists riders prepared to go the extra mile this winter can force their way into his Speedway World Cup plans.

Rossiter is leading a pre-season training camp in Croatia next month and wants to see his troops make a strong case for a place at Belle Vue in July.

Rossiter said: “I’ve spoken to all of the boys who are going out to Croatia and you can tell they’re desperate to make an impression.

“There are a lot of riders who would love to represent Great Britain at the World Cup and this is a great chance for them to give me something to think about.

“The riders who show willingness and that they are keen will have an advantage over others. It’s not just about what they can do on a bike, it’s about their general attitude towards it all too.

“I’m really looking forward to getting everyone together as a group and I’m sure there’ll be plenty of positives to come from it.”
