DAVEY Watt will join Pirates team boss Neil Middleditch at a Riders’ Equipment Fund-organised event for the Darcy Ward Foundation.

Watt, who rode with Ward at Pirates, will share anecdotes and take questions from fans in the Main Stand at Poole Stadium on Wednesday, February 10.

Proceeds from the event will go towards Ward’s rehabilitation after he suffered a life-changing spinal injury last season.

Host Nigel Leahy said: “It’s going to be quite a night. Middlo is up for it as a fundraiser for Darcy and has promised a no-holds-barred and frank discussion with plenty of talking points.

“I aim to get lots of the stuff that people don’t readily hear and to get Neil’s unique take on things.

"We will also be checking out the latest news on Darcy as he settles in back home and the evening will close with an open session where people can put their own questions to Middlo.”

Admission is £8 and doors open at 7pm for a screening of the Australian Darcy Ward benefit meeting before Middleditch and Watt will take centre stage.

There will be DW43 merchandise on sale and an auction before the microphone is handed over to the audience for a question-and-answer sessions with the guests.
