PLANS to stage the Blue Riband meeting at Wimborne Road a week today have been shelved.
The Daily Echo understands that the chances of the meeting going ahead this season have significantly lessened.
However, it is believed that the Pirates hierarchy have not ruled out the possibility altogether.
It is thought that Poole's play-off fate could play a part in any decision.
The Elite League reigning champions had originally possessed a blank week next week but the home clash with Swindon – postponed today due to the weather – has now been rescheduled for Monday.
Promoter Matt Ford had originally planned to track his entire one-to-seven in the Blue Riband and Jason Doyle, Josh Grajczonek, Jack Holder and Brady Kurtz had expressed an interest in racing.
Poole last staged the meeting in 2013 when Darcy Ward claimed the crown.
