POOLE Pirates pair Maciej Janowski and Chris Holder suffered semi-final falls but kept on track their respective bids for the top eight at the Danish Grand Prix.

Janowski claimed a trio of heat victories and topped qualifying with 12 points, while Holder’s 10-point haul included one chequered flag in Horsens.

The Wimborne Road colleagues were paired in semi-final one in which Holder fell on the third bend while at the back and was excluded from the re-run.

When Janowski returned to the tapes alongside series leader Tai Woffinden and Matej Zagar, the Pole lost out on the second bend of the second lap and allowed Zagar through at the end of the third.

Janowski then hit the deck and the re-run was awarded with Dane Peter Kildemand going on to claim victory in a re-run final.

Holder is fifth in the overall standings but leads eighth-placed Janowski by just three points, who is then four clear of finalist Michael Jepsen Jensen.
