VACLAV Milik – one of Pirates' trump cards in 2014 – has joined title-chasing King's Lynn.

The Czech ace starred for the Wimborne Road side in his rookie season in British racing, playing a pivotal role as the club secured its second Elite League title in as many seasons.

But there was no place in this year's line-up for the 22-year-old asset and he has now joined the Stars as a replacement for the sidelined Rory Schlein.

Milik is due to make his debut a week tomorrow at home to Lakeside.

Lynn boss Rob Lyon told the club website: “Vaclav is an exciting young rider that I believe will do well around the Adrian Flux Arena this season. He is a pleasure to deal with and is very keen to get started.

“Having spent last season with Poole, he has ridden all the tracks in the Elite League and that will be an advantage. It shouldn’t take him long to dial into our track and start to score some points.

“We must say thanks to our old friend Tomas Topinka for his help in bringing Vaclav to the club. Thanks also to the Poole promotion for their cooperation.”
