PROMOTER Matt Ford feels Pirates possess one of the Elite League's most potent spearheads in Grand Prix duo Maciej Janowski and Chris Holder.

Polish ace Janowski has been in flying form for the reigning top-flight champions in 2015 despite having his progress stunted by a knee injury that kept him out for six weeks during April and May.

Holder's disappointing early-season form resulted in the Aussie losing the number one slot but the resurgent Sydneysider returned to that berth for victories over Coventry and King's Lynn earlier this month.

Ford told the Pirates website: "Magic has been superb this year and we really missed his points contribution when he was laid up with a broken knee, but I think he has come back stronger from that.

"Alongside Chris, who has been working his way through a confidence battle caused by a lack of racing fitness, I feel we have one of the best double acts in the league."

Previewing tomorrow's clash with Coventry (7.30pm), Ford added: "Coventry have shown what they are capable of doing and we will respect them but not fear them.

"This is an important meeting for both sides and one that, in all honesty, either team could win."
