PIRATES expect to return to full strength for Monday’s Elite League trip to Leicester (7.30pm).

Skipper Maciej Janowski has not ridden for the Wimborne Road side since he suffered a knee injury at Coventry on April 10.

The Pole has competed sporadically on the continent over the past six weeks and will line up against the Lions provided he suffers no reaction over the weekend.

Janowski and Pirates teammate Holder are due to ride in tomorrow’s Czech Grand Prix (6pm BST) and Poole bosses will be desperate for the duo remain fit with a busy week of fixtures ahead.

Poole face Leicester on Monday and Wednesday before travelling to fellow high-fliers King’s Lynn on Thursday.

Just one former Pirate is due to feature in the Leicester side in the form of Jason Doyle, as Grzegorz Walasek is set to ride in Grand Prix qualifying in Abensberg, Germany.

Lions are set to track guests Grzegorz Zengota and Ashley Birks in addition to utilising rider replacement in the absence of Bjarne Pedersen.
