JOSH Grajczonek faces a race against time to be involved as Poole Pirates travel to inform Wolverhampton tomorrow (7.30pm).

The Aussie ace, an asset at the Wimborne Road outfit, stood in for injury-victim Davey Watt until recently but has now been booked to cover for skipper Maciej Janowski.

But Grajczonek rides for Somserset Rebels at Rye House in the afternoon with promoter Matt Ford hopeful he can make it in time to participate.

Ford told the club’s official website: "Josh feels that he has a chance to get there in time but it is a gamble and one that we wouldn't have been able to afford to take with Paul Starke (also riding for Somerset).

“We have called on Lewis Rose to cover at reserve. If for any reason traffic prevents Josh from getting there on time, we have the fallback position to revert to rider replacement for Maciej’s ride.”
