PROMOTER Matt Ford believes guest Rory Schlein’s deceptive average can help to keep Poole Pirates on track after a flying start to 2015.

King’s Lynn charger Schlein stands in for Josh Grajczonek, while Stefan Nielsen replaces Paul Starke at reserve when Pirates travel to last season’s Elite League finalists Coventry tonight (7.30pm).

Ford told the club website: "Rory is on a bargain average and he will be a popular guest around the tracks while that is the case. I am pleased that he has agreed to ride for us.

“It is a track where he has bags of experience and I am hoping that will work to our advantage. Like ourselves, Coventry have started the season with wins at home and away so something has to give.”

Grajczonek and Starke are obliged to miss out because the fixture clashes with their Premier League club Somerset’s League Cup meeting at home to Rye House.

Bees will be without the injured Stuart Robson and have booked Cameron Heeps as a guest.
